Jason Flamendorf, MD

Dr. Jason Flamendorf is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist.

Dr. Flamendorf has expertise in providing cataract surgery, including complex and refractive cataract surgery. He also specializes in medical and surgical glaucoma management, including micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), trabeculectomies, and tube shunts. He is a Clinical Instructor on the Wills Eye Hospital Glaucoma Service where he teaches resident physicians and surgeons.

Dr. Flamendorf earned his medical degree with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York followed by his ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a prestigious one-year research fellowship in the NIH’s Medical Research Scholars Program.

Professionally, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals and The Wills Eye Manual, and he has presented at multiple national conferences.

Dr. Flamendorf lives with his wife in Center City and enjoys cooking, running, and photography.
